WELCOME TO RAY BROWN

Stories That Go Beyond the Surface of the Mind

Ray Brown is a storyteller, creator, and entrepreneur whose work explores consciousness, human behavior, and the deeper forces shaping our inner lives.

Before launching his current body of work, Ray—also known as Raaj Brar, Raaj Kapur Brar, Raj Brar, and legally Rajinder Brar—built media platforms that reached millions worldwide, including South Asian Life, one of the most widely visited South Asian lifestyle websites of its time.

His work has been featured in Marketing Magazine (Living The Life (2006), Raising The Brar (2008)) and Business Insider, and he has held executive roles in publicly listed companies.

But his work today is rooted in something deeper.

Growing up around shamans and mystics, Ray developed an early understanding of consciousness, the subconscious, and the unseen forces that influence human behavior. His perspective explores how stress, fear, and internal imbalance can disrupt clarity, affect the nervous system, and disconnect people from their sense of purpose.

Through audiobooks, workshops, and spoken-word storytelling, Ray brings together lived experience and insight—offering a clear, grounded lens on topics like purpose, relationships, identity, and awareness.

He also challenges modern narratives around human behavior—questioning the overuse of labels like “narcissist,” “avoidant,” and “gaslighting,” and how they may limit deeper self-understanding.

This platform is not just about content.

It’s about helping people see themselves more clearly.

The Journey

Ray Brown’s path has never followed a straight line.

Long before RayBrown.net, his journey began in the early days of digital media—building platforms from the ground up, often with limited resources but a clear vision. What started in a basement evolved into media properties that reached millions, including South Asian Life, which became one of the most widely visited South Asian lifestyle platforms globally.

His work and rise as an entrepreneur were recognized by Marketing Magazine, while his willingness to challenge systems—particularly in digital advertising—gained attention from Business Insider.

Ray later stepped into the public markets, holding executive roles as CEO and CFO of a publicly listed company, with filings documented through the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

But success came with its own complexities.

Operating under multiple names—Raaj Brar, Raaj Kapur Brar, Raj Brar—while his legal name remains Rajinder Brar, Ray experienced firsthand how identity can shape perception. These choices were not made lightly. They reflected real-world barriers, where names, background, and appearance could influence opportunity.

Those experiences created a deeper awareness—one that went beyond business.

Beyond Business

Alongside his entrepreneurial journey, Ray remained connected to community and contribution.

He supported organizations such as Youth Without Shelter in Toronto, helping at-risk youth find stability and direction during critical moments in their lives. Earlier, he organized a fundraising fashion show in support of the RCMP in Vancouver in 1998.

Even in his youth, discipline and performance played a key role in shaping his mindset. At Abbotsford Senior High School, Ray earned recognition in basketball as MVP, All-Star, and Best Free Throw Shooter—experiences that built focus, resilience, and consistency.

The Shift

Over time, something began to change.

The external success—media, recognition, business growth—no longer felt like the full picture.

Ray began to move inward.

Drawing from his early exposure to spiritual teachings, combined with real-life experiences, he started to explore deeper questions around consciousness, identity, purpose, and the unseen patterns influencing human behavior.

That shift marked the beginning of a new chapter.

The Work Today

Today, Ray Brown is building a new kind of ecosystem—one that brings together storytelling, awareness, and real human experience.

Through RayBrown.net, powered by Ray Brown Group Inc., his work is expressed across multiple formats designed to reach people in different ways:

  • Audiobooks that blend storytelling with deeper insight into the human condition

  • Podcast series and Substack publications exploring real-life experiences, relationships, and perception

  • Workshops focused on awareness, clarity, and reconnecting individuals to their internal state

  • Written works and long-form content that challenge conventional thinking and invite deeper reflection

Each piece of content is part of a larger intention—to help people better understand themselves beyond surface-level thinking.

At the same time, through MARAMOGU Inc., Ray is expanding his storytelling into film and television, developing projects designed to explore the psychological, emotional, and spiritual layers of the human experience on a larger scale.

This next phase is not about building another media company.

It’s about creating experiences that stay with people—content that doesn’t just inform, but shifts how they see themselves and the world around them.

More Than Content

Ray’s work is grounded in a simple idea:

Most people are not disconnected because they lack information.

They are disconnected because they have been conditioned to look outside themselves for answers.

Through his voice, stories, and workshops, Ray challenges that pattern—bringing people back to a place of awareness, where clarity, purpose, and direction begin internally.

What This Is Really About

This platform is not built for passive consumption.

It’s built for those who are ready to question, reflect, and see beyond the surface.

Whether through an audiobook, a workshop, or a future film or series, the goal remains the same:

To create work that resonates on a deeper level—long after the experience ends.

Seen & Recognized Work

Ray Brown’s work in media, entrepreneurship, and digital publishing has been recognized across national publications, global business media, and public market filings.

From building high-traffic digital platforms to challenging industry practices, his work has consistently operated at scale—and often ahead of its time.

Why This Matters

This body of work represents more than milestones.

It reflects a pattern—building, questioning, evolving.

And that same pattern continues today through a new body of work focused not just on reaching people—but impacting how they think, feel, and see themselves.
